October 2009 Voter's Meeting Minutes

Quarterly Meeting

October 11, 2009

Chairman Charles Kruenegel called the meeting to order.  Pastor Bruce ascended to the Lectern, read a passage from Ephesians Ch. 2:13 and spoke to the reading.  He then led those present in prayer.   The minutes were read and accepted as read.  The Chairman appointed Tyler Kruenegel, Nelson Torbeck, and Wally Bertram as tellers for the elections.  There were no new members or releases.

The Treasurer’s report was given and accepted as read.  The Sunday School reported having excellent teachers, pretty good attendance, and encourages more to attend as they will begin working on the Christmas program in six (6) weeks.    The Elders reported meeting monthly and that things were going well.  Pastor Bruce has been visiting members, including the delinquent members of the church.

The Trustees received a Janitor Bid of $10,600 (the same as last year) from Allen Sasse and Marsha Sasse.  A motion to accept this bid received a second and carried.  The Trustees have received one (1) bid for a new AC/Heating system for the church.  They will continue to look into the matter.  They are also looking into light bulbs for the ceiling fixtures in the church.  They have completed the canopy over the east entrance to the basement.  The tree has been cut down near the front sign.  The problem with Floyd Meseke’s field has not yet been resolved.  Those present gave a round of applause to the Trustees for the work that they have done within the last year.

The Bible Class is still studying the Book of Romans and encourages everyone to attend.  Pastor Bruce also spoke regarding the Bible Class.  The Sexton is still looking into the cemetery situation.  He anticipates having Old Capitol Monument Company come out to look at the stones and submit a bid for their restoration.
