The Lighting of the Candles

Please tip only an UNLIT candle for lighting.

After your candle is lit, you are welcome

to come forward and stand around the Christmas tree.

                                Silent Night

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht!

Alles schlaft, einsam wacht

Nur das traute, hochheilige Paar.

Holder Knabe im lockigen Haar,

Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh,

Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh.

Silent night, holy night!  All is calm, all is bright

Round yon Virgin Mother and Child.

Holy Infant, so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night!  Shepherds quake at the sight;

Glories stream from heaven afar,

Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!

Christ the Savior is born!  Christ the Savior is born!

Silent night, holy night!  Son of God, love's pure light

Radiant beams from thy holy face

With the dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus, Lord, at thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

The Benediction:

P: This same Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you, look upon you with favor and + grant you His peace.

C: Amen.
