The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ
Sunday, April 24, 2011
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not
here; He has risen!” Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today we recall the empty tomb. Because that
tomb has been forever vacated, we rejoice in the gift of eternal life this
day by the immeasurable grace of God through faith in His Beloved Son, Our
Risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On this glorious day, we celebrate His
resurrection from the dead in Word and Sacrament.
In this Holy Supper, our Savior gives to us His true Body and His true Blood for the strengthening
of our faith. Those who approach the Lord’s Table give public witness to our
confessional unity of faith. On the Scriptural basis of this unity, we ask
that only those who are members of a congregation in the Lutheran Church –
Missouri Synod commune with us. If you have not communed here before, please
ask to speak with the Pastor or one of our Elders before the service.
The Congregation Rises.

What Do Lutherans
Believe?
Many people wonder what distinguishes the theology of the
Lutheran Church Missouri Synod from other denominations.
Beginning on Tuesday evening, May 3rd,
we will gather
in our fellowship hall to examine the confessional beliefs and
practices of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
The Holy Bible,
Luther's Small
Catechism,
The Lutheran
Confessions and a new publication entitled "The Lutheran
Difference"
will
serve as our primary source materials for this
weekly
study
If' you
have questions about our church
body, come an join us.
This study is for those who may be in interested in joining our
fellowship. If you think you
already know all
the answers, come and join us.
You'll
be amazed at what you'll learn. Everyone is encouraged to invite
a friend.
All of our members are strongly
encouraged to attend.
