St. Peter Installation The
installation of Rev. William Emrick as the new pastor at St. Peter’s
Lutheran Church will be next Sunday, April 22, at 3 p.m.
A meal will follow the service. Everyone
is invited.
Kids,
Children, Youth – One and All, A Join Hands Day event is being planned for Saturday,
April 28th from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at the Community Garden in
Vandalia, corner of Edwards & South 1st St or across from
Stombaugh Heating and Air Conditioning. Activities
are planned to involve Children – Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H and the
community in general. Activities
will include working with garden volunteers to rehab an area of the garden
that will be planted in Native trees, shrubs, and flowering plants.
To conclude the event, there will be a wiener roast and kids will get
to take home a treat. Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans is providing a $500.00 grant to help fund the project.
The Fayette County Home Extension is sponsoring this event.

Tastefully Simple
The Relay
for Life teams is having a Tastefully Simple party on April 22nd
from 1:30 to 4:00pm in the Parish Hall. Everyone
is welcome to come and bring a friend. 20%
of the sales will go to help fight the battle of cancer.
Military Care Package If anyone has a friend or family member who is serving in military and would like to have a care package sent to them, please contact a member of the Bible Class. 5 Packages have been sent already.
