Door Offering
There will be a door offering this Sunday for the Relay for Life.
The funds raised will got to pay for the sponsorship fees for the two
teams that are participating from our church.
Any money left over after the fees are paid will still go to the Relay
for Life.

Thank You Thank you to everyone who helped with the Captive Free concert last week. Thank you to the Men of the Church for sponsoring the dinner, for everyone who brought food, and to Rick and Marsha Sasse and to Charlie and Iris Kruenegel for housing the band. Thank you for everyone who made donations to the group. They were very happy with the response from everyone.
Hot Air Balloon
The “Lift High the Cross” hot air balloon is coming to Augsburg!
We received word last week that the Missouri Synod hot air balloon, named
“Lift High the Cross,” will be here on July 24-25.
The balloon will be available for flights and tethered balloon rides.
This will be an excellent opportunity for community outreach and to
promote our Vacation Bible School, which will run from July 26-30.
Forty volunteers will be needed to help crew the balloon and to pass out
balloon cards with a Gospel message. A
picture of the balloon is on the bulletin board in the Narthex.
Look for more information in the future.
Office Furniture
The old desk that used to be in the church office is in the north
garage for anyone to pick up if they would want it.
If no one has picked it up by next weekend, it the will be gotten rid of.

I would like to thank Pastor Wohletz, my family, and my friends
for their prayer, visits, and cards and all the acts of kindness given to me at
the hospital and my return home. All
these deeds of kindness are greatly appreciated.

Junior Youth
The Junior Youth are going to the indoor pool at Centralia on April 18.
They are planning on leaving the church at noon and returning
approximately 5:00pm at the church.
Relay for Life We need to start getting our teams for this years event together. Please contact Scott or Karen Torbeck if you are interested in being on a team or wish to help out in any way. Team Members can pick up their packets to start collecting funds from Scott or Karen Torbeck and we still need a few more team members to join our teams. If you are interested contact us.
Easter Lilies
The church is needing Easter Lilies for Easter Morning Services.
The cost is $7.99 for them. If
you are interested in purchasing them to then be able to take home after church,
please contact Janet Williams to place your order.
Volunteers Needed Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia is looking for volunteers to help with transportation for their senior worship service and luncheon, held each month on the third Thursday. The volunteers would help load and unload the seniors from the van. If you are interested in helping, please contact Pastor Saeger at 283-1133.
Worship Attendance Records
Please be sure to sign the Record of Attendance located at the center of
each isle and then pass it along to the rest of the row for there signing. Then when everyone has signed the book, please return it to
the center of each isle.
High School Youth Trip Fund-raiser The fundraising has started for the high school youth who are planning to attend the trip next summer. They are having an aluminum can drive. You may bring your aluminum cans to the church and put them in the north garage or call Brad Grandt, Greg Schaal, Jerry Schukar, or Brian Brown and they will be happy to come and pick them up. Scrap aluminum is also welcome.
Ink Cartridges
They are also collecting empty computer ink cartridges that they can sell
and make some money on. There is a box in the Narthex that you can put your empty one
in.
Concordia University
Recruitment Information Night will
be hosted by Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altamont at the Altamont Lutheran
Interparish School on Saturday, April 17th from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.
